December 2019 St Vincent de Paul CARES

December 2019 was one of our most successful months! This month we managed to get overwhelming support from a local school, the National Elementary Honors Society, project Pop Drop and the Upper Tampa Bay Chamber of Commerce to help us reach our goal.
We managed to decorate and fill with essentials and Christmas gifts, 275 Santa shoeboxes for St Vincent de Paul CARES. Handwritten cards were also inserted into these boxes. We delivered these beautiful boxes to the homeless at St Vincent de Paul CARES and spread a lot of Christmas cheer!
This organization is committed to ending homelessness. Their belief is that everyone has the right to live in dignified and affordable housing and their mission is to alleviate pain and suffering, in a spirit of charity, justice and mercy through person to person involvement. We couldn’t agree more! We also managed to share a few Santa shoeboxes to children at the Youth and Family Alternatives, Inc RAP House! What an inspiring month December was!
November 2019 Wounded Warrior Project

The Wounded Warrior Project is a charity and Veterans service organization that offers a variety of programs, services and events for wounded Veterans of the military actions following September 11, 2001. They give a voice to the needs of these warriors and empower them to begin the journey to recovery.
This month being the month we celebrated Veterans Day on November 11, we decided it was the perfect month for this project. We teamed up with the National Elementary Honors Society and charitable Foundation we sold various products to raise funds to donate to the Wounded Warrior Project. A fantastic amount of $2000 was donated this month and we were proud that we were able to give back to our heroes!
October 2019 MCKS Charitable Foundation

The MCKS Charitable Foundation offers a variety of charitable services like legal assistance, feeding the hungry, especially malnourished children, as well as offering medical assistance to those in need. We presented to attendees in New York at a financial planning event and managed to sell products as well as receive generous monetary donations in lieu of this worthy cause. Once again, we reached our ambitious monthly goal of $1000 or more and inspired others in New York to give back! Mission accomplished!
September 2019 Keeping Tampa Bay Beautiful

We were proud to be a Keep Tampa Bay Beautiful affiliate in September 2019. This organization inspires and educates people to take action every day to improve and beautify their community environment. They envision a country where every community is a clean, green and beautiful place to live.
We volunteered with about 25 followers to assist us with the Hillsborough River clean-up project. We worked very hard to remove invasive plant species from this area as well as a cleanup! This month we also sold aluminum straws in our community to encourage people to do away with plastic straws which contaminate our oceans.
All the funds received for this activity were donated to “Giving Children Hope” in the Bahamas as they were severely affected after Hurricane Dorian.
